St. Paul’s Summer Camp 2025 Inspires Youth Under Theme “Empowered to Succeed”

The 2025 edition of the annual St. Paul’s Summer Camp wrapped up on Monday, July 28, with a celebration of talent, teamwork and personal growth. Hosted by the constituency’s Member of Parliament, Hon. E.P. Chet Greene, the three-week program was hailed as a resounding success by campers, parents and organizers alike.

Held under the theme “Youth Empowered to Succeed,” the camp provided participants with an exciting mix of cultural, educational and recreational experiences. From hands-on music lessons in steelpan and other instruments, to fast-paced Esports competitions and dynamic team-building challenges, the program aimed to give young people the skills and confidence to excel.

One of the highlights was a series of educational tours that allowed campers to explore the island’s history, culture and natural beauty. These excursions, MP Greene said, were designed to broaden perspectives and encourage pride in Antigua and Barbuda’s heritage.

The program concluded with a prize-giving ceremony at Lucky Eddie’s in English Harbour, where campers were recognized for their achievements and contributions during the camp.

MP Greene delivered an inspirational message, urging the young participants to embrace the tools and lessons they had gained over the three weeks.

“This camp is about more than fun, it’s about preparing you for life,” Greene said. “You are the future leaders of this community and this country and my hope is that you leave here knowing that your potential is limitless.”

Parents praised the camp for its positive impact on their children, noting improved confidence, social skills and a renewed enthusiasm for learning. Organizers credited the success to the commitment of volunteers, instructors and community partners who supported the program.

As the 2025 St. Paul’s Summer Camp closed, the sentiment among campers was unanimous, they can’t wait for next year’s edition and many have already pledged to return, ready to learn, lead and succeed.
